VP Marketing and Communications
We’re looking for a marketing and communications superstar who can effectively lead IFMA’s existing marketing and communications organization through global expansion. Lead IFMA’s marketing and communications functions/teams
Directly supervise the Director of Communications and three Marketing Team Leads
Serve as a member of the IFMA executive team and participate in the development of IFMA’s business plan and strategies
Translate IFMA’s business strategies into marketing and communications goals and strategies
Supervise a team of a dozen (and growing) marketing and communications professionals (full-time and contract) who are responsible for developing and implementing marketing & communications strategies, plans and tactics to support all IFMA products and services plus the IFMA Foundation, FM Research & Benchmarking Institute (RBI) and the Built Environment Technology Association (BETA)
Oversee the budget and staff for the marketing and communications departments.
Review, give feedback, and assist with the oversight of the association’s overall fiduciary responsibilities and budget.
Serve as a member of the RICS Steering committee.
Simultaneously, lead the development of branding and website development for, and communications and promotion of, the future organization, with input from the collective marketing and communications organizations, along with several groups of key stakeholders across the three organizations
Ability to travel domestically and internationally unassisted in coach accommodations may be on short notice. Estimated travel is 15 to 30%.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Communications and 15 years of related experience.
Must have a minimum of 5 years supervisory management experience.
Microsoft Office Suite software (Word; Excel; PowerPoint; Publisher; Outlook).
Establish and maintain social media sites and blogs, data analytics, and websites.
Ability to read, write and communicate in English with strong communications and writing skills; write speeches and articles for publication; read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents; effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or board of directors.
Capable of responding to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
