The American Academy of Audiology, the world's largest professional organization of, by, and for audiologists, is seeking an experienced professional to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for business analysis, accounting and budget strategies and policies, financial reporting, financial resource allocation, evaluating financial performance, and identifying opportunities.
Analyzes current business processes, recommends improvements, and develops the business and functional requirements needed to ensure that the tools delivered, including technology solutions, meet the needs of the organization
Participates in financial planning
Works with senior management to identify information gaps and develop analysis and reporting to improve decision making
Works with senior management to develop department budgets
Serves as staff liaison to various committees and task forces as needed
The position is based in the Academy's Reston headquarters, conveniently located within walking distance of the Wiehle Avenue Metro station.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or similar field
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in an association managerial capacity
Knowledge of business analysis, fiscal administration, accounting, and budgeting policies
Experience in revenue production, cost savings opportunities, and negotiation management
Proficient in preparation of financial reports
Outstanding technical skills including advanced Excel skills, the ability to operate and manage financial information systems and software, and strategic IT management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Superior problem solving and time management skills
