The Program Manager of Foundation Development will be responsible for all fundraising activities related to The Plastic Surgery Foundation support efforts. This includes, but is not limited to the development of member, corporate, and public giving opportunities, development and execution of long range strategy and initiatives, and oversight of local/regional campaign affiliates as well as Society-led national and international programs.
Assists with the successful planning, design, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of fundraising programs in consultation with other cross-functional stakeholders and Society leadership.
Manages multiple initiatives simultaneously; in-directly leading cross-functional stakeholders and bridging between staff and development-focused member leadership.
Conducts research through donor surveys, focus groups, and internal resources to obtain feedback on the donor experience and possible opportunities for fundraising.
Leads the creation, maintenance, and evaluation of the effectiveness of campaign collateral for a variety of development programs.
Serves as the organizational and subject matter expert on assigned fundraising programs, including but not limited to, member giving campaigns, committee-driven fundraising efforts, corporate support requests/proposals, affiliate-based local/regional efforts, and mid to large scale fundraising activities (i.e. walk/run and gala).
Manages and cultivates relationships with major donors and prospects resulting in growth in engagement and fundraising revenue.
Analyze and clearly communicate the effectiveness of fundraising activities to both internal and external stakeholders, including such metrics as retention/attrition, overall donor trends, and individual giving statistics.
Manages budgetary resources and goals associated with assigned fundraising programs to achieve identified return on investment for each initiative.
Works collaboratively with other Corporate Development staff, cross-functional partners, and membership to meet the goals identified for each intiative.
Stays abreast of external data and trends to identify opportunities for enhancements to the fundraising strategy and presents these opportunities for consideration to appropriate stakeholders.
Other duties as assigned.
Travel to ASPS Annual Scientific Meeting and other educational programming as required. (Not to exceed 10%.)
Experience: Minimum of three years of fundraising experience.
Understanding of current trends in fundraising and development.
Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and donor database software.
Ability to work in a matrix organization.
Knowledge of healthcare field preferred.
Not-for-profit association experience preferred.
