The Web Content Specialist is a content creator, editor, and strategist who standardizes and optimizes public-facing and member-facing web content. The successful candidate is detail-oriented and has a talent for creating & organizing scientific and marketing content to make it accessible and engaging to those interested in the field of industrial and organizational psychology. The Web Content Specialist will proofread, write content, and design engaging pages for website visitors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage updates and ongoing development of the web experience to ensure all the many systems and applications continue to function in concert
Tag content and monitor web taxonomy for needed updates
Support testing and development efforts as needed for new applications releases
Support Compliance and Legal initiatives as they influence the digital footprint
Format articles and prepare graphics for TIP
Keep the website schedule for updating of content
Upload content to the website and other digital platforms like YouTube, giving content the appropriate internal marketing tags.
Ensure articles are kept up-to-date and landing pages are refreshed regularly
Ensure copy and images adhere to branding guidelines.
In coordination with the communications team, identify and shepherd the production of digital images for marketing use
With the communications team, coordinate the removal of outdated information
Prepare web traffic reports
Some travel, including weekends and extended hours, required
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, computer science, or related business
Highly proficient with 3+ years usage of a Content Management System, as well as Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Demonstrated proficiency in HTML and CSS
Demonstrated project management skills; takes direction well and clearly possesses the ability to translate strategy into tactical deliverables
Strong attention to detail and a high regard for quality
Understanding of taxonomy, content tagging, content use, and structure
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Experience with Adobe suite for web graphic creation
Experience using Google Analytics is a plus
