The Member Engagement Assistant will have an essential role in supporting member interactions within ASTS. This position will help maintain the membership database and assist with social media accounts and regular member communications. Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Help develop and disseminate ASTS communications for social media outlets;
Develop content for e-newsletters and blast emails;
Develop content for the ASTS meetings app;
Assist in managing the ASTS member database;
Support the annual membership renewal process;
Support delivery of member benefits, such as journal mailing lists;
Serve as the liaison to assigned committees, coordinating activities and providing support as needed to achieve the objectives determined by the leadership; and
Assist with special projects, as needed.
Some travel required (2-3 times per year). This position will work closely with the Senior Coordinator, Membership, and the Director, Member Engagement.

Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent experience
Results-oriented, self-starter, deadline-conscious, intellectually curious and willing to learn

Strong organizational skills, the ability to function within a fast-paced team environment with internal and external stakeholders
