HSMAI is seeking a part-time Project Coordinator to assist with a variety of projects. This is an opportunity to work with a talented group of seasoned professionals who are supportive, driven, and committed to quality.
The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver, and organized. We are looking for an individual who:
Is able to efficiently and effectively work remotely while at the same time being comfortable as part of a staff team.
Has excellent time management and communication skills, as you’ll collaborate with external stakeholders and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines.
Supporting the conference management team
Manage speaker-related communications and logistics for conferences
Manage conference program design and printing, coordinating with staff team, graphic designer, and printer
Add and update content in conference apps
Add and update content online via Wordpress
Assist with onsite meeting registration and other tasks as needed.
Assisting with committee projects and communication
Organize and participate in virtual stakeholder meetings
Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings
Undertake project tasks as required
Ensure that all projects assigned are completed on time and meet high quality standards
Assisting team members on additional projects as needed
Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Expertise in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
Experience with Wordpress
High-level communication (written/oral) skills to be able to interact with internal and external staff, executive advisory board members, attendees, etc.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
Superior organizational skills and dedication to completing assignments in a timely manner
Desired but not required: Experience in the hotel, or meetings and events, industry
Time and Travel
10-hours per week, increasing to 15-20 hours per week in May-June and December-January
The ability to travel two times each year for 3-4 days at a time (June 17-20, 2019, and TBD between late-January and mid-February)
