Who we are looking for:
We are looking for a high performing Member Retention Specialist to join our Member Services department. The selected candidate will oversee the ASCO membership retention program and communication plans and ensure renewals and other retention projects stay on task, by managing and reviewing membership recruitment and retention reports.
What you will do:
Manage the member renewal and reinstatement communication program to include: email, mailing, phone, digital, and web communication
Update queries, perform quality checks on reporting, discuss areas of change needed and make nimble decisions to the retention plans in partnership with the Associate Director
Manage member category transition process within the renewal structure to ensure continuous monitoring, communication, and growth transitions are occurring on a monthly basis in support of the retention goals
Work closely with the Adobe Department Lead to become proficient on creation of ads and ensure email communication occurs on a weekly basis
Consistently monitor, review, and adjust marketing communications based on data analytics
Provide membership reports, data analysis, and supporting documents from current and past trends that provide findings to make recommendations for improvements
Oversee retention expenses to ensure plans and budgets are being maintained and support strategic goals
Serve as a team lead for ASCO’s Annual Meeting and develop retention initiatives for external Exhibits
Assist with new staff training and other department duties as needed
What you will need in order to be successful:
Bachelor's degree, or sufficient years of related experience in lieu of degree
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Experience working in a non-profit or association ideal, and an understanding of the membership life cycle
Experience with Integrated Email Marketing Platforms with HTML capabilities
Fluent in Microsoft Dynamic or a related CRM/AMS or a membership database, and experience with CRM reporting and Excel reporting
Excellent written communication skills (would appreciate a writing or copy-editing sample)
Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality control (brand protection)
Strong interpersonal, written and oral communications
Ability to effectively handle numerous issues, tasks and assignments
Ability to travel 5-10 days a year (international and domestic)
