The American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) is the primary advocacy organization for the nation’s community colleges. The Association represents nearly 1,100 two-year, associate degree-granting institutions and more than 12 million students. Membership is AACC’s single most important source of support, and the Association’s relationship with its members is the highest expression of our commitment to AACC’s mission of being the national voice of community colleges.
The American Association of Community Colleges seeks an individual to establish and maintain documentation for all grants and contributions made to the Association with specific financial reporting requirements to private donors and government agencies. Duties include receiving, accumulating, and organizing project documentation associated with financial management of all Association projects, assisting with formulating accounting policies & procedures to ensure compliance, reviewing all accounts payable transactions with charges to projects to assure proper coding and compliance, completing/processing draw down transactions, conducting CFR/QFR financial reporting, preparing financial schedules/analyses, and responding to inquiries. Individual will also maintain current knowledge of government regulations to monitor and communicate significant changes.
Qualified candidates must have BS degree in business administration, accounting, or directly related field and five years of experience in federal grant management with reporting and audit requirements. Must be proficient in standard office computer/software applications, specifically the Microsoft Office Suite. Requires excellent customer service skills, consistent attention to detail, and the ability to travel periodically. Previous experience with government funding is also required.
