The Manufacturers Alliance (MAPI) in Arlington, VA is searching for an Inside Sales Associate who will serve as an integral part of MAPI’s sales team. In this role, you will prospect for leads, share MAPI’s value, and sell MAPI memberships and other services to executives at large, global manufacturing companies. We’re seeking a motivated and sharp person who can help us move the bottom line and achieve revenue goals.
Reporting to the Director of Sales, and working with the VP, the Inside Sales Associate will support MAPI’s market growth. The primary responsibility of this role is to sell MAPI memberships. Our core offering is our Gold membership, focused on functional leaders in manufacturing. In early 2020, MAPI will also be offering a Silver membership that Sales will support with larger package options for leaders. This role requires the ability to be self-motivated as well as working with a team on various initiatives.
Qualified candidates must have at least 1-3 years of related experience, ideally in a B2B sales environment; and a Bachelors degree in business or related field. Other qualifications include:
Impressive communication and presentation skills, both over the phone and in-person
Ability to easily converse with senior leaders at some of the largest global companies
Ability to achieve set sales goals
High-energy and a results-focused approach
Experience with a sales process
Adaptability; willingness to try new things and explore new tools
Commercially-focused mindset to understand our customers as well as the internal process
Understanding of, and a willingness to learn about manufacturing and its role in the global economy
