General Summary: This position is responsible for assisting with creating a sustainable recruitment pipeline and works directly to retain existing IWLA members – warehouse and partner. This position also supports exhibit, sponsorship, and other sales efforts.
I. Member Recruitment
Provides general support to the membership sales team.
Maintains and updates prospect list for warehouses and partners.
Conducts original research to produce prospects.
Responds to inquiries and requests from members and nonmembers regarding questions about the association and its benefits.
Manages mailings to leads.
Other duties as assigned.
II. Membership Retention
Helps audit membership renewal invoices, including correcting contacts and verifying member’s warehouse square footage.
Communicates regularly with members.
Acts as a resource for the IWLA Membership Committee, including call reminders, follow-up invoices, and activity information.
Acts as the overseer for staff-driven retention efforts.
Monitors online membership report and works with IWLA database staff and volunteers to ensure it remains up-to-date.
Monitors member involvement through various channels.
Records updates and ensures database changes reflect findings.
III. Exhibits & Sponsorship
Provides general support in coordinating the Convention & Expo exhibitors and sponsors information.
Assists with the annual attendee directory.
Assists in the annual convention as requested.
IV. Marketing Support
Assists in coordinating regular social media projects.
Assists with the annual printed IWLA member directory.
Assists the education team with convention efforts as assigned.
Facilitates regular membership and member campaigns.
Assists in other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Ability to perform the essential functions of this position.
One year relevant experience in sales/membership support duties.
Prior association experience preferred.
Fluency in database systems, specifically association management software.
Fluency in social media platforms and philosophy (LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc.).
Able to lift 25 pounds and carry it 50 feet.
Ability to work occasional overtime as requested by management.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Office products especially with Excel spreadsheets.
High problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
