Who we are looking for: A high performing Associate Director, Annual Giving to join the Conquer Cancer Foundation. The selected candidate will oversee Annual Giving Direct Mail and Online Giving programs to meet the Foundation’s revenue goals as established through the development plan and annual budget process. What you will do: - Provide oversight for annual fund and direct marketing materials, develop ideas/strategies and assist with the implementation process for direct mail pieces for the Annual Fund and other annual giving initiatives
- Oversee the annual program calendar and manage the offline and online annual giving programs including solicitation pieces, stewardship, and cultivation activities
- Work closely with the Operations Division and Major Gift Officers to create systems and procedures that support growth of the individual major gifts program to include financial progress reports, and prepare quarterly progress reports measuring established metrics
- Collaborate and negotiate with division vendors to identify long-term opportunities and trends which will lead to increased fundraising and donor retention
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications department and vendors to implement best practices and emerging trends for use in individual donor messaging including brochures and appeal letters
- Work with the Division Director to develop and maintain multi-year department budgets and strategic planning
- Provide content and team leadership to division staff and oversee the planning, strategy, implementation, analysis, and evaluation of all direct response, including acquisition and renewal campaigns, and seek new and innovative methods for enhancing and growing annual programs
- Prepare and analyze high-level data, reports and metrics for the entire division, and prepare materials for Board and Leadership Meetings and Presentations
- Lead the mid-level and sustainer giving programs; and oversee the employee giving program, including the planning and strategy for the Employee Giving Committee
- Supervise and coach junior staff and delegate, as appropriate, elements of the Annual Giving program
What you will need in order to be successful: - Bachelor’s degree required; CRFE a plus
- Five to eight years of experience working in Annual Giving fundraising, with at least 2-3 years of direct mail experience
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience supervising individual contributors; prior experience supervising remote staff a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications or related software
- Proficiency using databases with the ability to quickly learn the organization’s fundraising database system
- Excellent communications skills including oral, written, and listening
- Commitment to work within a team to meet timelines and deliverables
