Advocacy & Governance Coordinator
AASA, The School Superintendents Association
AASA, The School Superintendents Association, is seeking a coordinator to provide support for our Federal advocacy work, assist in coordination of activities related to our elected leadership, and support the work with state associations and other affiliate organizations.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supports AASA’s Advocacy Work
Coordinates and Supports Governance Activities
Provides Administrative Support for Department and Organization as Required

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent training and experience required.

Physical Demands: Regular use of desktop and laptop computers is common. Travel may be required and longer than normal hours of work at meetings and conferences may be expected.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: The responsibilities shown above are characteristic of this position and may not include all duties. In addition, AASA staff are expected to work collaboratively and willingly on teams and projects as assigned and to perform other duties as requested. Ability to travel to meetings in and out of Washington, D.C. metropolitan area (estimated five to ten percent out of area) and manages onsite projects as assigned.
Job classification: Regular full-time, support; non-exempt; eligible for overtime. AASA is an Equal Opportunity Employer. |
