Overview
The Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) seeks an experienced, collaborative, forward-thinking professional to provide leadership as Vice President (VP)/Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Reporting to the President and CEO, the VP/CFO will collaborate with the Senior Director of Finance on principal finance functions and responsibilities and will be primarily responsible for developing efficient and effective operations to support CAL’s mission, program initiatives and business development activities. The VP/CFO will work closely with the President to align CAL program, operations and business development goals with CAL’s mission, promoting CAL’s principles grounded in access, equity, and mutual understanding for culturally and linguistically diverse populations within the U. S. and globally. The VP/CFO will represent the President in his absence and will primarily be responsible for providing day-to-day oversight to CAL operations and business activities. The VP/CFO will work closely with CAL senior staff to create synergy among the different program, financial, administrative, and operation activities and to assure that CAL services are fully supported and meet the highest standards.

Education and Experience
Ideal candidate will have strong non-profit/for-profit experience in business and administration within the context of culturally and linguistically diverse education (CLAD); English learner education, world languages, TESOL, bilingual education or a related area.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience determined to be acceptable.
