The National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) is in search of Human Resources & Finance Assistant. NACWA is a major non-profit environmental advocacy organization representing the views and perspectives of America’s publicly owned clean water utilities. The Association’s members are dedicated public servants and true environmental stewards.
The Human Resources & Finance Assistant will perform administrative support duties for NACWA's human resource and finance team.
Assist with the maintenance and preparation of HR attendance reports.
Review, track, and document compliance with human resource training including safety and anti-harassment trainings and other continuing education.
Assist in the planning and implementation of internal company events.
Assist in the recruitment process
Assist in facilitating new hire orientation and employee recognition program
Assist in conducting background checks.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files, records, and information.
Assist with the performance review process, including goal setting and position description updates.
Assist in processing personnel actions, including preparing new employee files and processing terminations.
Conduct routine data entry management for accounting records.
Assist in the preparation of journal entries, general ledger, account reconciliations, and other necessary support for month-end close.
Assist in maintaining financial records and files.
Prepare weekly deposits for electronic submittal – occasionally traveling to the bank.
Act as a back-up for general front-desk duties.
Prepare staff-wide emails and letters according to written or verbal instructions; and assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly & year-end reports.
Minimum of Associates degree in Business Administration or related field required.
Two years of administrative experience required.
One year of human resources experience a plus.
One year of bookkeeping experience a plus.
Association experience a plus.
The salary is commensurate with experience. NACWA offers an excellent and comprehensive benefits package.
