WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Accreditation and Online Education Program Manager is the Educational Department keeper of Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) knowledge and standards and leads efforts with Continuing Education Committee for continuous improvement and act as the ASPS primary contact with accreditation bodies such as ACCME, AMA, etc.
Manages the accreditation process for all ASPS medical education activities offering credit for healthcare professionals, including the colleciton of needs assessments, gaps, learning objectives, and all other ACCME required components.
Maintains understanding of all ACCME, Office of Inspector General (OIG), and American Medical Association (AMA) requirements as well as related ASPS policies to ensure compliance in planning, development, and implementation of educational activities.
Responsible for annual PARS reporting to ACCME.
Maintains policy and procedure and provides essential cross-functional support for the successful planning and execution of educational program activities, especially to guide appropriate marketing, corporate support options, etc. in relation to accreditation.
Assists in developing ASPS’ strategic educational programming plan to ensure continued ACCME Accreditation with Commendation and suggest innovative programming.
Manages the process of reaccreditation throughout the accreditation period and leads the reaccreditation process with ACCME at renewal time.
Manages budgets associated with accreditation, joint providership and sponsorship.
Responsible for revenue targets of joint providership and sponsorship product lines.
Liaise with the Continuing Education Committee to support continuous improvement in compliance and develop policies, procedures, and guidelines regarding compliance.
Special projects as identified.
Travel to ASPS Annual Scientific Meeting and other educational programming as required. (Not to exceed 10%.)
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education.
Minimum 3 year’s experience working with ACCME and/or AMA accreditation
Minimum of three years educational program experience; enduring and live
Understanding of current digital instructional design best practices
Understanding of adult learning principles
Experience with ACCME re-accreditation process preferred
Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems
Knowledge of healthcare field preferred
Not-for-profit association experience preferred
