This position will develop, market and provide educational courses for assisted living, independent living and memory care communities that meet state requirements for certification and continuing education. In addition, the manager will be responsible for developing, marketing and providing regional meetings to support and recruit members. The courses and meetings will be provided in person or via various online platforms such as a learning management system, GotoWebinar, or Zoom. The manager will recruit speakers/presenters and sell sponsorships to industry partners/exhibitors for the courses and meetings.
The manager must already have or will need to quickly develop a detailed understanding of Florida’s senior living regulatory rules, operations and procedures, and be able to correctly and concisely explain their implementation. FSLA promotes a small, team environment, and this position requires a strong working relationship with FSLA members, staff and other stakeholders.
In addition, the manager will:
Develop the association’s annual education calendar.
Assist planning and providing the association’s annual conference and other joint meetings.
Develop educational courses using a learning management system.
Develop other workshops, PowerPoint presentations, webinars, and other events to inform or otherwise educate members and stakeholders in the senior living community
Work with the association’s marketing and membership staff to develop marketing campaigns, newsletter articles, and other communications.
Work with the association’s public policy staff to schedule grass roots events and legislative tours in member communities.
Liaise with the associations’ Education, Membership and other committees as needed.
Work with staff from national association on development of workforce training and grant opportunities.
Strong communication, writing and editing skills
Exceptional computer skills including an online learning system, Microsoft suite, Adobe Creative Suite, Zoom, GotoWebinar, social media, and various marketing programs
Analytical, creative problem solver, who can prioritize duties and multiple deadlines
