The successful candidate’s education and experience will include the following:

• An undergraduate degree is required with preference for preparation in Public Administration, Public Policy and Management, Political Science, Business Administration or Association Management. Advanced preparation to the Master's level in any of the above disciplines, is also desirable.
  
  
• A minimum of seven to ten years' senior level management experience where leadership qualities and skills have been demonstrated. This experience should also include responsibility for managing a diverse professional and support staff.  A working knowledge of intergovernmental relations, the legislative process, and group self-funded benefit programs and related activities is desirable.
  
  
• Executive level experience in a municipal association or a large public sector organization, preferably at the municipal level, is highly desirable.
  
  
• Ability to develop strong working relationships and interact with elected officials, senior staff, boards or commissions, employee representatives in a positive and professional manner is required. A demonstrated passion to engage and work with others is highly desirable.
