Pharmaceutical Care Management Association (PCMA) – the national association representing America’s pharmacy benefit managers is seeking a Director, Technology and Operations who will coordinate and direct day-to-day IT and technology activities, as well as provide direction and support for IT solutions that enhance business operations. This position reports to PCMA’s VP, Human Resources, Benefits & Administration.
PCMA continues to lead the effort in promoting PBMs and the proven tools they utilize, which are recognized by consumers, employers, policymakers, and others as key drivers in lowering prescription drug costs and increasing access.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
The Technology and Operations Director is responsible for providing technical and operational support to PCMA’s staff of 34 by maintaining the organization’s technology systems, both hardware and software and other peripheral equipment and services to ensure optimal performance so that organization’s end users can maintain a high level of productivity.
Other essential responsibilities include:
Maintaining and coordinating relationships with managed service provider to ensure world class service including oversight of dedicated support staff.
In coordination with managed service provider lead back-end support including deployment, maintenance, and monitoring of network equipment.
Providing staff with training and support for current and new technology products (Office Suite/Zoom/Adobe/Egnyte).
Identifying, recommending, and implementing cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization.
Providing audio visual, conferencing, and telecom technical support.
Vendor account and user management (zoom, verizon, conferencing).
Providing technical assistance with internal computer hardware and software needs including new hire onboarding processes.
Performing hardware and software installations, configurations, and updates as needed.
Providing conference and event technical support.
Providing technical support for our Association Management Systems.
Resolving technical issues in a timely manner using available resources within the company.
Other duties as assigned.
A minimum of 5 years of IT experience in a similar sized organization.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or equivalent job experience.
In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office 365, Windows 10, and Zoom.
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Excellent organizational, time-management and communication skills.
Experience with the selection and adoption of new technology solutions.
While PCMA staff is currently working remotely, post-pandemic we will return to a hybrid work model in the PCMA offices in the Penn Quarter area of Washington, D.C.
