The primary responsibility of the Vice-President – Membership & Corporate Relations is to grow revenue streams from membership recruitment and retention. The VP will oversee the membership team and be responsible for keeping its staff directed, motivated, and focused on serving its members while delivering on revenue objectives.
The role will lead the development, communication, execution, and sustainment of FICPA strategic membership initiatives to strengthen the organization’s value proposition. Strategic initiatives include oversight of corporate firm accounts, local chapters, and collaboration with external stakeholders that will enhance the organization’s engagement with accounting professionals across the state.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Transition and lead a “best in class” membership sales and retention management team to drive strong new acquisition and renewals for FICPA.
Design and deliver key initiatives that continuously reinforce and strengthen FICPA’s membership value proposition across a multi-generational membership of CPAs.
Grow and diversify the revenue portfolio of the organization while increasing the membership base and harnessing strong member engagement.
Collaborate with Executive Team and key stakeholders to identify new membership services and benefits that will best address the needs of members.
Grow FICPA membership and relationships across all membership segments including but not limited to firm billing (firm administrators), students and Emerging CPAs.
Oversee annual dues collection process.
Work closely with the Marketing team to communicate the value of FICPA membership during renewal period.
Identify, build, and maintain relationships with strategic partners and sponsors to elevate exposure and revenue.
Work closely with the Marketing team to develop member communications and strategies that are targeted to achieve membership goals and initiatives.
Elevate relationships with accounting firms to position FICPA as an indispensable partner.
Effectively manage and administer the day-to-day operations of the department, including overall leadership and staff guidance.
Manage department finances, including building and managing a revenue-and-expense budget.
Regularly review membership structure and engagement approaches to maximize member value, member engagement, benefits, and revenue.
Assist the FICPA with other duties needed to help drive the vision of the FICPA, fulfill our mission, and abide by our organization’s values.
Frequent day trips and/or overnight travel required.

Experience and Education:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or related field.
Ten years of experience at an executive level directing sales, operations, membership engagement or business development functions.
Strong track record of developing effective sales campaigns that enhanced revenue growth and optimization.
An experienced relationship builder that can foster collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders to address the needs of all parties.
Documented record of success running membership development or product sales programs.
Experience in managing budgets and internal operations of an organization.?
Familiarity with the CPA profession and accounting firms preferred.?
Comprehensive skill set in membership relations, strategic partnerships, and business development, including strategy development, value proposition positioning, sales leadership, innovation, and financial management.
Strategic thinker with excellent planning capabilities.
Proven sales leader with a strong performance track record.
Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, who effectively conveys ideas.
Strong people management skills with an ability to coach, lead, and develop talent in a collaborative, high-performance work environment.?
