NCMA is growing in service of the amazing community we serve. We achieved ISO/IEC 17024 accreditation for the CPCM, the gold standard for contract management and acquisition related professionals. We launched the CCMA to provide those new to the profession opportunities to more quickly demonstrate practice knowledge. Our ANSI-approved standard was adopted by the U.S. Department of Defense as the basis of their contract management competency framework. As we grow, our offering has increasing impact on the professional lives of those who help make great things happen.
Now, we seek a bright mind to manage the growth of this portfolio that includes two additional professional certifications and more program accreditation.
The successful candidate will be a passionate advocate for our profession through programs that establish and maintain standards, demonstrate commitment to the profession, and support professional journeys of others.
Responsibilities: • Manage all professional certification and standard setting activities to high standards, aligned with ANSI and ISO/IEC 17024, while maintaining effective and prompt engagement across program and certificant lifecycles • Manage and/or support teams of volunteer and contracted subject matter experts that perform job tasks analysis, exam health and wellness, and psychometric analysis functions • Support functions of the Certification Oversight Body that represents interests of certificants and employers, and the Standards Consensus Body that represents interests of the users of our standard • Deliver on organization and department KPI while ensuring timely and high-quality client outcomes • Supervise and coach Certification Coordinator through daily oversight, frequent KPI check-ins, and annual reviews • Maintain current procedure documentation and management systems according to ANSI and ISO requirements • Ensure program information and marketing material accuracy • Manage and/or support accreditation processes for certifications in online proctoring and testing center forms • Other duties, as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in a certification- or education-related discipline (equivalent work experience may apply in lieu of degree) • Experience with outlined responsibilities • Proficiency working with global third-party testing centers and their systems that authorize test takers and manage exam forms • Experience using association management systems and certification lifecycle management tools • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Able to lift 30 pounds

Other • Typical Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm • Travel: Up to 15% and may include 3 or more weekends per year to support NCMA National events • Flexible schedules available based on supervisor approval • Prefer candidates in Washington DC metro area, though will consider outside region
