Talley Management Group, Inc. is seeking a Senior Meeting Manager to plan and execute meetings on behalf of TMG Association Client-Partners. These events will include both large international and domestic US Meetings. Events will include scientific and healthcare associations. This position will be within our Meetings and Events Division.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Coordinate all aspects of conferences, meetings, and events (pre-planning, onsite execution, and post-event follow up and evaluation)
Coordinate travel, lodging, and expenses for participants traveling to meetings or other business travel
Directs the efforts of event vendors (Hotel, Venue, Virtual Platform, Food & Beverage, AV, etc.)
Partner with convention center, virtual platform, and hotel(s) as the point of contact to oversee and coordinate all functions and needs to include meeting setup, audiovisual setup, production, and food and beverage selection and setup.
Manages the content development and timeline of the event’s website
Responsible for creating and maintaining the event’s project plan for staff, member volunteers, and vendors
Support the growth and development of direct report(s)
Secondary Job Functions and Responsibilities
Serves as the attendee liaison
Solicits and tracks faculty and leadership expense reports
Review all meeting invoices and bill events directly to individual cost centers
Executes all corporate space requests for meetings
Assist additional staff members in coordinating the committee meeting schedule and logistical needs
Serves as the primary liaison to external groups that meet in conjunction with the client’s meetings
Assist with maintaining the meeting and education section of the client’s website
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be highly organized with excellent time-management skills, manage multiple tasks and projects, track details, and ensure timely and accurate results.
Capacity to identify, implement, monitor, and execute work plans to all assigned activities: goals and objectives.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, relational databases, and web applications.
CMS/LMS/AMS knowledge a plus
Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of five (5) years of successfully demonstrated work experience and/or education program implementation preferred. Experience in a member-based organization or association management company is a plus.
5+ years experience in meeting management including experience working with faculty
Experience in the development and implementation of education programs highly desired.
CMP Certification and/or DES Certification is a plus.
