This individual is responsible for the reconciliation and analysis of cash, investments, fixed asset and other general ledger accounts. This individual also assists the accounting department with accounts payable and with a variety of special projects and tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Reconciles bank statements.
Performs account reconciliations and analysis.
Assists with Accounts Payable functions: inputs payables into the accounting system, processes checks for payment, maintains vendor files, ensures proper recording and cut-off of expenses at year-end, provides W-9s to vendors and prepares annual 1099s.
Maintains schedules for investments, and prepares related journal entries.
Maintains fixed asset records and prepares related journal entries including depreciation.
Assist with budget entry and review and special projects
Assist with monthly and year-end closing process and preparation of audit workpapers.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting desired, or student working toward an Accounting or Finance degree.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and general ledger accounting software.
Familiarity with CRM and Microsoft Dynamics (Solomon) accounting software a plus.
Attention to detail and ability to complete projects in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently and with others.
Trustworthy; ability to maintain confidentiality.
Basic knowledge of Accounting principles and concepts.
