The Manager, Marketing accelerates the growth and enhances the prestige of NACD’s credentialing programs—NACD Directorship Certification and NACD Fellowship—and core foundation courses. The Manager, Marketing works hand in hand with the Senior Manager, Marketing and in collaboration with the Credentialing stakeholders to build awareness, conversion and advocacy of the credentialing program through marketing.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops, plans, and executes segmented marketing campaigns and communication plans that meet or exceed NACD’s participation and revenue goals for NACD Directorship Certification and NACD Board Leadership Fellowship
Works collaboratively with the NACD Education/Content, Member Engagement, Business Development, and Chapter teams to highlight Certification across all events and activities
Supports the full Certification lifecycle, from pipeline through re-certification.
Raises the profile and unique value of Certification via regular and ongoing communications with the aim of building and fostering a community of certified directors
Proactively identifies and recommends opportunities to enhance the member experience, elevate NACD education in the marketplace, and increase demand for our course and program offerings
Creates, develops, and manages content for certification-related webpages, using a content management system when needed
Actively monitors competition, responds to market shift and trends, and identifies new markets
Efficiently plans and manages individual marketing budget, with a strong focus on ROI and a keen eye on expenses
Performs other duties as assigned
Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or Business Administration, plus 3-6 years of related marketing experience, including a minimum three years of progressively increasing responsibility in product marketing experience and/or marketing experience in an association. Special consideration will be given to those with prior credentialing experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to show hybrid of analytical and creative thinking. Daily demonstration of marketing expertise and proactive, thoughtful marketing execution. Experience with leading product campaigns. Matrix-management experience and demonstrated ability to manage projects on time and on budget.

Must possess insight into segment, target, and position services and product value, combined with a passion to create demand and drive revenue.
Experience with Salesforce.com and marketing automation software (such as Marketo) is highly desirable, as is familiarity with corporate governance.
