About Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health
The Association of Schools and Programs of Public Health (ASPPH) is a 501(c)(3) membership organization located in Washington, DC that serves as the voice of accredited academic public health. ASPPH’s 35-person staff both serves and leads more than 130 schools and programs accredited by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH). ASPPH’s mission is to strengthen the capacity of our members by advancing leadership, excellence, and collaboration. To advance its goals, ASPPH maintains a proactive advocacy program; communicates extensively with the leaders, faculty, and staff of member schools and programs; and actively seeks to participate in policy deliberations on issues related to public health, higher education, social justice, and health equity. ASPPH undertakes selected sponsored projects in collaboration with federal agencies and foundations. ASPPH serves as an authoritative source of data and information on academic public health and thus regularly consults with and informs the media, policy makers, and scholars about matters involving public health education, practice, employment, and research.
