Reports to: (Online and International) Professional Education Manager
The Professional Education Coordinator will assist the Professional Education Department to enhance and implement organizational vision as established in the Casualty Actuarial Society's (CAS) Strategic Plan and asdirected by the Board and Executive Council. The coordinator is responsible for ensuring on-going programming excellence and assisting in various educational initiatives. The position coordinates and supports a variety of professional education projects and programs designed to inform and educate the CAS and other interested parties.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on the development and distribution of post-meeting summaries and seminar evaluations.
Communicate with volunteers to monitor adherence to timelines of new and ongoing CAS professional education projects.
Assist with the production of promotional materials for educational events and conduct evaluation surveys following the events.
Assist the Online and International PE Manager with responding to system/platform. integration questions between staff and vendors, and provide other administrative support as needed.
Maintain in-house professional education databases for CAS meetings, seminars, and webinars as well as maintain the CAS professional education speakers’ database, including answering CAS department requests for session/speaker information.
Provide administrative support to the annual audit on continuing education compliance.
Assist with managing the maintenance and development of content on the Professional Education Department’s WebPages.
Learning Management System/On-Demand Support
Setup new live webinars in the learning management system.
Setup and maintain on-demand courses in the learning management system and customer relationship management platform, including signature event, webinar, microlearning, and topical seminar recordings.
Provide administrative support in the customer relationship management system, such as setting up group registrations and event discount codes.
Manage marketing and design aspects of the on-demand library, including attendee discount emails, sales announcements, graphical elements, etc.
Provide customer service support to volunteers, members, and staff regarding on-demand content, such as recording questions, purchase reports, certificates of attendance, and completion reports.
Provide quality assurance on CAS developed on-demand content, video editing as needed.
Assist in the management of event livestreams, including conducting speaker orientations, technical rehearsals, registration support, and session moderation.
Support the production of virtual professional education events, such as virtual conferences, bootcamps, etc.
Support other CAS departments in the development and delivery of online professional education programming, such as hosting online events or conducting tech rehearsals.
Required Experiences and Qualifications
Fully accredited four-year undergraduate degree.
Minimum of three years of work experience in an association/non-profit organization preferred
Experience with Learning Management Systems is desired.
Experience with Customer Relationship Management Platforms (NetForum; iMIS) is desired.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience in minute taking and editing documents.
Ability to plan, track and perform multiple tasks, manage multiple priorities and maintain consistent attention to detail in the IT space
Strong service orientation with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with senior-level business professionals.
Proficiency in using e-mail communication, polling and surveying software (i.e. Doodle poll and SurveyMonkey), Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SmartSheets and databases
High aptitude with technological platforms, including learning new systems as the occasion arises.
Experience working with association volunteers and a concentration in online education is highly desirable
COVID-19 considerations: All staff must be vaccinated to work from our office. We work a two day office schedule, 3 day telework per week subject to public health and CAS policy guidelines. Flexible working, increased cleaning measures and social distancing measures have been introduced in the office.
