The Associate Director is responsible for leading and managing the Society’s digital learning content strategy, through the development and maintenance of an internal needs assessment process and comprehensive gap analysis. The Associate Director is an analytical thinker, utilizing available learner performance reports, member data, personas, and a close working relationship with multiple staff teams to guide current and future educational products through the lens of member and industry needs and advancements. With a strong focus on content, the Associate Director acts as the staff lead for the Endocrine Society’s accreditation with ACCME and future accrediting bodies (to be determined), providing programmatic oversight and support, project planning, and educational design input to ensure the product pipeline is in compliance with the accreditation standards and that accreditation activity criteria are considered during course design. The Associate Director also oversees the development of a content maintenance plan to ensure all active programs and products are up to date with the latest guidelines and research.
The Associate Director works with the Manager of Program Design and Strategy to create and manage internal accreditation compliance processes as well as serves as the primary contact for the Clinical Endocrine Education Committee’s CME subgroup and their annual portfolio review. With help from the Manager, the Associate Director oversees the ACCME annual reporting process and reaccreditation.
What you’ll bring to the job:
BA/BS degree required;
At least 7 years of prior experience in ACCME accreditation
At least 5 years of prior experience in content management or equivalent experience in an association.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and professional presence;
Excellent interpersonal skills required to work with a diverse group of stakeholders (staff, committee members, learners, collaborators, etc.);
Significant interest in content strategy and data-driven program design;
Able to work in a fast-paced collaborative environment;
Be highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to prioritize team efforts to use limited resources efficiently;
Recognize the contributions of all team members, both internal and external, in dealings with members and collaborators;
Able to travel several times a year and work weekends or after-hours, on occasion;
Appropriate technical skills required for proficiency in the use of technology (Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, database management, etc.) and able to learn new technology as required;
Consensus-building and collaboration skills, including ability to seek out the facts and pertinent information before drawing conclusions and listening and responding to peoples with sensitivity and directness.

What you’ll own:
Designs and maintains the Society’s educational content strategy:
Create a needs assessment and gap analysis process that education staff can use to guide program design
Utilizing learner data and feedback, identify new product opportunities, as well as the potential purposeful abandonment of legacy programs
Create a content maintenance revision cycle to be applied for all educational products
Serves as the primary contact for the Clinical Endocrine Education Committee (CEEC) CME subgroup to oversee their annual portfolio review
Develop a content repurposing plan to increase visibility, reach, and access of educational products and work with publications on licensing opportunities
Ensures the Society’s compliance with ACCME and ABIM (CME and MOC) requirements by:
Providing regular maintenance and evaluation of the overall CME program, including activity file reviews;
Collaborating with Manager of Program Design and Strategy in the development and maintenance of Endocrine Society policies, procedures, planning documents, and processes in accordance with evolving regulatory requirements;
Providing training to Society staff, members (on faculty and in leadership), and collaborators as appropriate;
Spurring the education team to identify, implement, and document improvements to the CME and MOC program on a rolling basis;
Working closely with the education team to guide the ACCME reaccreditation self-study process as part of managing annual reaccreditation;
Acting as Team Lead for the CME/MOC Communications Center at ENDO, ensuring that members are able to claim credit, print certificates, and ask questions relating to CME/MOC;
Facilitating the working relationship with ACCME, including attending conferences, responding to new regulations, and ensuring Society interests are communicated through the correct channels.
Strategically integrate new ACCME Criteria for Commendation to ensure continued Accreditation with Commendation status.
Collaborates with other departments on creation and management of educational activities, both with teammates and independently.
Regularly engage in discussions with the Director of Digital Learning and Development and Strategic Partnerships staff on program development to ensure novel content and avoid topic saturation
Providing input on RFPs, grant proposals, reconciliations, and other project documents as requested;
Provides input regarding ACCME requirements to ensure projects and products can be accredited.
