Primary purpose: Leads the development of high-quality virtual continuing education programs that improve patient outcomes in compliance with regulatory bodies. Develops and manages SCCM’s continuing education industry grant process.
I. Development of high-quality virtual (eLearning) content and programs
Provides strategic recommendations, direction, and management related to the development, coordination, and implementation of SCCM virtual educational activities.
Stays abreast of current research, along with the latest adult education methodologies.
Works collaboratively to develop and implement benchmarking methodologies. Provides analysis and develops strategies based on the data.
Works with program managers to assist in the development and delivery of education program content.
Manages staff who support virtual learning programs, including the learning management system (LMS), webcasts and podcasts.
Works collaboratively with key SCCM staff to ensure that the LMS functions properly and that appropriate key wording and tagging complies with SCCM policies.
Coordinates team activities that support virtual learning programs and collaborates with other staff for the successful deployment and utilization of SCCM’s virtual learning programs.
II. Management of accredited continuing education (ACE) industry grant process
Develops and manages the needs assessment process related to industry grant funded education.
Works collaboratively with marketing and sales staff to determine relevant grantor opportunities.
Meets with potential grant funders to gain a deep understanding of their needs and goals.
Writes, submits and secures ACE grants in compliance with SCCM policy and regulations.
Collaborates with third parties to jointly provide industry supported satellite symposia and other educational programs.
Manages funded ACE grants per SCCM guidelines.
Creates ACE outcome reports and budget reconciliations and submits to the various grantor portals in a timely manner.
Works with team members to develop their grant-writing and management skills related to industry supported educational programming.
Strong understanding of virtual and adaptive learning methodologies
Detailed knowledge of ACE guidelines
Significant experience in writing and securing ACE compliant grants from industry
Working knowledge of learning management systems
Experience with outcomes reporting and industry grant portals
Demonstrated budgeting experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Clinical background helpful
High-level project and timeline management skills
Excellent and proven skills in both developing staff and working closely with volunteer medical professionals
We are currently working remotely until Summer 2022 due to an office remodel. There is a generous remote work policy when the office is open, and employees will only be required in the office for meetings as determined by the department director. You must reside in or plan to move to the Chicagoland area.
