POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director of Learning and Development, this position supports the design and execution of professional growth offerings for Meals on Wheels America Members, including instructor-led training, webinars, Annual Conference programming, and peer-to-peer networking.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supports the development of educational content and materials for Meals on Wheels and related network learning and sharing opportunities.
- Assists in virtual event production.
- Participates in managing the Meals on Wheels America on-line Member Community, Meals on Wheels Connect (e.g., maintaining editorial calendar, coordinating posts, approving, and communicating with Members, working to build a sense of community).
- Provides administrative support in the planning and on-site execution of the Meals on Wheels Annual Conference and Expo.
- Works with Department leaders and subject matter experts to support online course creation, according to organizational strategic priorities and requests of Members.
- Defines and maintains learning events calendar, create, and communicate master schedule for ongoing learning initiatives and coordinate scheduling of participants.
- Report on learning activities, course evaluations, and departmental analytics.
- Monitor websites, blogs, and publications to identify innovative and exciting resources, topics and tools that can be used by and developed for Members to share them (post on webpages, generate dialogues via Meals on Wheels Connect, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.).
- Research and recommend potential delivery methodologies (e.g., blended learning, workshops, voice over PowerPoints, online learning, etc.) to best meet the Members’ needs.
- Work with Director of Learning and Development to create content for monthly e-newsletter column.
- Manage learning and development social media accounts and email inboxes, responding to all inquiries in a timely, professional, and customer-friendly manner.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or 3-5 years of training and development experience or comparable relevant education and experience.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, planning, writing and communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service skills, including but not limited to being able to quickly respond to multiple audiences such as Members, staff, and speakers.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, prioritize workload, and manage multiple projects at once.
- Experience with developing and managing process (and process change) documentation.
- Excellent computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, etc.).
- Familiarity with Zoom, Teams, and other virtual meeting, webinar, and training platforms.
- Some familiarity with simple video editing software and graphic design.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to Meals on Wheels America Members, vendors, speakers, and staff.
- Excels in a team-based, collaborative environment working across departments; interest in and willingness to learn about issues impacting the health and wellness of older adults; ability to build effective relationships internally and externally.
- Possess a high level of discretion and diplomacy, high integrity, dependable and self-motivated.
