• Working with staff and volunteers, act as primary Association contact for site selection for Association in-person conferences, Board of Directors, in-person Committee, and other meetings.
• Investigate and evaluate alternative properties.  
• Working with Chief Operating Officer, review, negotiate and finalize contracts.
• Manage all in-person conference and meeting logistics functions, including but not limited to audiovisual, food/beverage, social events, transportation, reservations, and hotel coordination.
• Evaluate trends and work with hotel properties to ensure that attrition clauses are monitored/modified as needed.
• Review hotel invoices for accuracy, code expenses, and refer them to the Operations Coordinator for processing.  Reconcile any errors with hotel.
• Coordinate and supervise sponsor tables and hotel personnel to ensure that sponsor satisfaction is attained and compliant with hotel regulations.
• Co-manage (with Meetings Director) the Meetings & CLE Administrator.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience with all aspects of association meeting planning.
• Experience producing hybrid and virtual meetings and webinars.
• Successful candidates will have the ability to manage multiple meetings, meet deadlines, and prepare and manage budgets.
• Must be highly organized and work well under pressure.
• Must have the ability to travel a minimum of 3 times per year.
• This position can be fully remote or work in the office in Washington, DC.
• CMP preferred 
• Understanding and good knowledge of computer systems, software, and database management; meeting, conference, and logistics; hotel industry, operations, policy and administration; technology as it relates to meetings and general accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and oral & written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation and project management skills.
