We are seeking a Senior Manager, Member Engagement to operationalize the Society’s existing and future membership engagement and experience strategies. In this role, you will co-author and implement membership engagement strategy, as informed by the Chief Membership & Diversity Programs Officer, and will manage initiatives to achieve key results. Additionally, you will oversee all activities related to overall administration of Special Interest Groups (SIGs). You will collaborate across the entire Society to support member needs, partnering closely with cross-functional teams to articulate and deliver on our value proposition.
What you’ll bring to the job:
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of association or not-for-profit experience required.
Prior people management experience highly preferred.
Ability to manage through competing organizational and departmental priorities and to work effectively under pressure when facing deadlines.
Strong drive and interest in implementing innovative membership engagement & retention initiatives in alignment with organizational objectives.
Experience working with an Association Management System is required. Experience with NetForum is preferred.
Strong writing skills and a proven track record for meeting multiple deadlines.
Ability travel to external exhibits. Up to 20% travel may be required.

What you’ll own:
Drive and support existing and new strategic initiatives to advance and increase member engagement in the Endocrine Society.
Manage and oversee the Society’s online Community with the goal of increasing member engagement.
Provide regular status updates on membership statistics, trends, and satisfaction to the Chief Membership & Diversity Programs Officer.
Work with Chief Membership & Diversity Programs Officer to identify and prioritize topics and themes for communities of interest and/or practice among members.
Hire, supervise, and coach the member engagement specialist fostering an environment of collaboration within the team and across the organization to achieve a high level of staff performance.
Provide strategic input, guidance, and support to volunteer development, including participating on a team managing volunteer acquisition, contributing to the development of training modules, and coordinating communications with staff and volunteer leaders.
Collaborate with marketing team to develop strategies for maintaining and increasing engagement on the online community, volunteer portal, member spotlights, etc.
Lead the development of first timers’ initiatives across the Society’s meetings and programs.
Serve as a resource for those interested in getting involved with the Endocrine Society.
Serve as primary staff liaison to SIG Advisory Panel.
Serve as the secondary Staff Liaison for Special Interest Groups and is responsible for working with the primary liaison to keep SIGs moving forward according to the annual goals and objectives established by the SIG in its annual plan.
Under the direction of the Chief Membership & Diversity Programs Officer, and in collaboration with the Director of Membership manage the successful execution of membership development projects including ongoing enhancement of all membership communications, materials, and web presence.
Identify, track, and report key member satisfaction and demographic metrics regularly using Netforum AMS.
Actively prospect new members and support their on-boarding through new member webinars and programs.
Collaborate with internal teams to develop conference and tradeshow strategies and operationalize to target specific goals (i.e. membership, product sales, registration for meetings, etc.)
Work with internal teams to incorporate diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives into the society’s overall operations.
Support the Chief Membership & Diversity Programs Officer in the implementation of the Association’s programs, priorities, and projects in relation to member engagement, experience, and DEI in partnership with member director and staff colleagues.
Maintains awareness of issues of importance to the endocrine profession to respond with timely services and programs to benefit the membership.
Provides support of the department operations, including opportunities to advance and gain efficiencies.
Promotes a culture of continuous improvement, responding to and anticipating member needs.
