Job Title: Technical Application Engineer
Department: Information Technology & Administration
Reports To: Director, Information Technology & Administration
FLSA Status: Exempt
POSITION SUMMARY: We are looking for innovative applications engineer to join our software engineering team. You will be consulting with various departments to relay their software needs and preferences to the development team, software applications support, and demonstrating software products and prototypes.
To ensure success as an applications engineer, you should demonstrate software management skills and experience in determining clients' software needs. A top-notch applications engineer will be someone whose software design expertise translates into user-friendly and highly efficient applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborating on software development projects with the development team and department liaisons.
Consulting with staff and incorporating user-defined needs and feedback into application designs.
Responsible for all areas of application implementation, maintenance, and quality assurance.
Providing clients with technical support with all custom developed and third-party software.
Work with technology team to optimize applications by integrating innovative technologies and performing upgrades.
Performing diagnostic tests and debugging procedures, as well as presenting areas of process improvement and re-design.
Utilize SQL experience to create required reports and resolve user data manipulation requests.
Documenting development processes, procedures, and application version histories.
Keeping up with advancements in application engineering and innovative technologies.
Provide top-tier software support for various cloud-based software to our staff and clients.
Analyze, design, test, and deploy new software and features with high quality (security, reliability, operations) to production
Completes features and user test cases and automation processes
Function as a technical advisor / support to all departments
Manage Alpha/Beta sites for new software releases.
Manage multiple projects, resources, customers, and tasks and document activities in department project management system.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND TRAINING:
Experience working with databases, systems security tools and troubleshooting procedures
Proficiency in SQL and query development.
Experience in deploying, optimizing, and maintaining software.
Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.

Great organizational and time management skills.
