THE POSITION
We are actively seeking a Director, Business Development & Sponsorship.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
You will be responsible for shaping and leading the execution of strategic product sales, group sales strategies and approaches, and sponsorship objectives for ISPOR and helping to design and drive plans that support the organization’s growth and transformation, in particular ISPOR’s strategic partnership initiative. You will oversee the training, development, and advancement of the skills of the product sales and sponsorship team and other key contributing organization staff and will work collaboratively with members of ISPOR’s cross-functional teams and senior leadership to develop ISPOR’s sales and sponsorship product portfolio to achieve financial targets and strategic goals.

Lead a centralized product and sponsorship sales function to achieve financial targets and revenue growth
Develop product sales, sponsorship, and business development budgets, strategic, and business plans
Working cross functionally operationalize identified content strategy priorities, aligning, and integrating them into strategic product sales and sponsorship initiatives
Maintain an in-depth knowledge of ISPOR’s products, industry trends, and customer needs to identify profitable business opportunities
Develop and analyze metrics to assess the effectiveness and profitability of product and sponsorship sales
Proactively canvas the HEOR, healthcare and association sector and research priorities and emerging trends to recommend new offerings and viable opportunities in support of customer needs, profitable business opportunities, and the organization’s strategic plan
10+ years of progressive work experience with strategic product sales and sponsorship generation required,
Preferred candidate will have familiarization with healthcare and pharmaceutical companies and supply chains. Association experience or exhibition industry experience is strongly preferred
Experience in ISPOR business areas such as conference exhibit sales and sponsorship models, publication advertising, corporate partnership models and donation-based funding required
Ability to understand the business environments of ISPOR stakeholders
Ability to leverage data insights to identify trends and drive partner and customer interactions
Collaborate cross-functionally throughout the organization with various levels including leadership, members, and peers, across teams and cultures and experience levels
Experience with financial management, budget development and managing staff are required

OUR LOCATION
Nestled half-way between Philadelphia and New York City, ISPOR’s headquarters is in Lawrenceville, New Jersey. Our staff work in a hybrid arrangement: onsite two designated days per week. Remote arrangements will be considered for the right candidate.
