The National Community Pharmacists Association is seeking a Chief Operating Officer to engage with the CEO, senior staff, and organization leaders to foster a high-performance culture. The COO will play a crucial role in executing NCPA’s mission to protect and promote the work of the nation’s independent pharmacies who provide a vital healthcare link to millions of patients throughout the country. The COO will report directly to the CEO and will be a hands-on contributor to organizational excellence both directly and through superior team coaching skills.
Cultivating a performance mindset in concert with NCPA’s Culture of Excellence (Collaboration, Leadership, Accountability, Innovation, Integrity) throughout the organization.
Implementing proven business strategies, plans and procedures.
Significantly contributing to the fundraising efforts of the organization.
Assuring oversight to NCPA Operations and other departments when necessary.
Evaluating and working with other senior leaders to assure optimal operational performance across departments.
Resolving operational challenges inherent in a lean environment.
Contributing as a member of the Senior Leadership team to execute the NCPA Strategic Plan and meet or exceed targeted measures.
Interacting with the NCPA Board of Directors as directed by the CEO.
Partnering with the CFO and other senior leaders to execute against the annual budget.
This position will be located in Alexandria (near the King Street Metro). Applicant should reside in the Washington, DC metro area. NCPA offers a hybrid work environment and a flex schedule.
