The Learning Program Manager is responsible for the professional development and SIIM Training programs and resources in support of the diverse needs of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) members and the imaging informaticist audience. This position plays a pivotal role at SIIM, overseeing the comprehensive management, development, and delivery of these diverse learning programs and resources. These programs are designed to cater to the unique and evolving educational needs of SIIM's members and the wider imaging informaticist community. Combining program management and instructional design, this position ensures the quality and effectiveness of SIIM's professional development and SIIM Training initiatives. Responsibilities
The following tasks, duties and responsibilities are the essential functions of this job:
Develop, plan, manage, implement, and evaluate a diverse learning portfolio, encompassing webinars, e-learning courses, digital content, live events, hybrid programs, livestreaming, and enduring educational materials.
Collaborate with volunteer subject matter experts to curate, prepare, and ensure the effectiveness and consistency of content prior to launch or updates.
Conduct ongoing needs assessments based on member and non-member feedback, contributor input, environmental scanning, research, and survey results to drive continuous improvement in learning programs.
In support of SIIM Training, develop custom training proposals in coordination with instructor(s) and customer(s); manages the logistics of SIIM Training programs to ensure seamless user experience.
Monitor the Learning Management System for technical and user issues, proactively update existing courses, and develop new on-demand content.
Create informative learning assets for registrants, including FAQs, manuals, guides, and other support materials.
Provide strategic insights and guidance to enhance the value and engagement of SIIM's educational offerings, collaborating with committees, subject matter experts, and volunteers.
Act as the primary point of contact for course and resource inquiries, delivering exceptional customer service and resolving customer issues.
Provides virtual and/or onsite educational and presenter support for SIIM’s Annual Meeting and other live conferences, including working with A/V company onsite.
Collaborate with instructors and customers to develop custom training proposals.
Regularly evaluate program effectiveness using survey results and measurable data to identify areas for improvement.
Identify resources and coordinate marketing efforts, including copywriting, to promote SIIM's educational initiatives.
Serves as a staff liaison to volunteer member committees as assigned.
Performs a variety of other related duties, as required.
Qualifications and Attributes
Bachelor’s degree required
3-5 years’ experience in program management and/or instructional design role
Knowledge of adult learning principles and training techniques including curriculum design principles, adult learning and blended learning theory and strategies, and the design and integration of online and other performance support tools into trainings; experience managing professional development programs and continuing education for health professions a plus.
Strong knowledge of UX/UI, Agile, and project management methodologies
Experience with Learning Management Systems; experience with CrowdWisdom is a plus
Experience with databases and Association Management Systems; familiarity with Salesforce-based systems such as Nimble is a plus
Familiarity with learning development tools such as Articulate 360 suite of programs, Adobe, etc.
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills to effectively communicate with appropriate audiences using a variety of mediums
Proven skills to collaborate within and across teams to coordinate training and development activities
Effective organizational skills to maintain and manage a portfolio of training assets
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and other business-related software
Familiarity with non-profit/association sales and marketing
Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
