Purpose of Position
The Senior Director manages the Imaging committees related to Cybersecurity, AI, Informatics, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and X-Ray Sections. They facilitate industry efforts to assess and manage cybersecurity risk to ensure imaging device security and the safe exchange of health care data in various digital ways. In addition, the Senior Director will lead in development of regulatory framework(s) pertaining to health information technology security, imaging informatics, Ultrasound, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, and X-Rays and other topics of import.
Essential Duties of Position
The core functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities:
Committees
Supervises day-to-day operations of assigned committees to include strategic planning, agenda setting, and follow-up
Leads committee efforts to include close interaction with government agencies and commercial cyber expert organizations to keep Members at forefront of information security
Tracks relevant government regulatory activity and develops reports, proposed-Rules comments, and similar cybersecurity activity
Facilitates the development of original intellectual property to include those pertaining to any regulatory framework(s) for the committee.
Organizes and participates in all meetings in accordance with AdvaMed procedures and enable Members to achieve meeting outcomes
Manages partnerships with third-party organizations in support of Imaging goals and objectives
Collaborates with the Executive Director, Digital to develop overarching principals for all AdvaMed members and ensure a seamless member experience.
Manages operational plans of the assigned committees to ensure plan is fully completed on schedule
Makes logistical arrangements, conducts meetings, prepares meeting minutes, and distributes associated documents according to AdvaMed best practices
Supports relevant Imaging regulatory and advocacy activity
Manages partnerships with third-party organizations in support of Imaging goals and objectives
Builds and maintains relationships with Imaging member companies, industry organizations, and U.S. and international government and regulatory agencies
Creates relationships with decision makers and influencers so they will listen to and act on Imaging positions and recommendations
Understands the processes and structure of organizations with which Imaging interfaces (e.g., standards and code bodies and government)
Represents Imaging publicly by publishing papers and reports, presenting at conferences, and serving on committees to further Imaging objectives
Hybrid Work Policy: Minimum 1 day onsite per week
Travel Requirements: 20%
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Exposure to health organizations, trade associations and Federal government processes important
Highly motivated, proactive, results-oriented with strong entrepreneurial and problem-solving aptitude
Demonstrated leadership and management skills with proven experience working multiple projects simultaneously within tight timelines
Adept at learning quickly and mastering baseline essential knowledge needed for key responsibilities
Proven ability to successfully manage meetings and achieve agenda outcomes including among individuals with diverse opinions and approaches
Refined communications skills, both written and spoken
Positive attitude and team player who demonstrates professional presence in all settings
Knowledge of (or ability to quickly acquire) digital work environment expertise as relevant to Imaging and Imaging member processes
