Description ESA is seeking a Director of Finance. Working with the Executive Director, this position will be in charge of budgeting and overall financial management including; payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, GL reconciliation, grant accounting, HR and more. Supervise one staff person. Must be based in the DC metro area.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Overall Financial Management of the organization, including budgeting and grant accounting.
Manage and oversee accounting and bookkeeping tasks including:
Processing payroll
Posting payroll into accounting software
Allocation of timesheets
Processing Accounts payable
Processing cash receipts
Manage Amex cost accounting and receipts
Manage grant cost accounting
Process grant quarterly reports
Process grant reimbursement requests.
Manage HR duties:
Onboarding of new employees to include orientation, completion of payroll forms and enrolling in ESA health insurance and other benefits
Maintain HR electronic files for employees including; payroll forms, evaluations, COI and other necessary forms
Ensure compliance with ESA policies on retirement contributions
Answer employee questions on benefits
Minimum 5 – 8 years prior experience as a non profit financial professional. Excellent communication. Well-organized, detail oriented, cooperative and independent individual with ability to handle multiple tasks.
