Position Summary: ICVA is seeking a Manager of Assessment Programs who will be an integral member of the ICVA team. The Manager of Assessment Programs is essential in overseeing assessment strategies and evaluating the effectiveness of the International Council of Veterinary Assessment (ICVA) suite of veterinary assessment programs. The position requires a deep understanding of the assessment industry and the ability to make independent decisions while working autonomously. The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable to change, and comfortable collaborating with volunteers, vendors, and stakeholders independently.
The Manager of Assessment Programs will report to the Chief Operating Officer.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Develop, manage, and implement assessment programs and processes that align with program goals, objectives, and budget constraints.
Establish a comprehensive roadmap from end-to-end development, implementation, and maintenance of these assessments.
Document, monitor and audit assessment processes and procedures and communicate any identified risks and opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in assessment development, delivery, and maintenance.
Liaise with internal teams to ensure exam policies and procedures are accurately applied and documented.
Collaborate on the design, development, and implementation of training and resources for volunteer subject matter experts (SMEs) and ICVA team members.
Develop and maintain guidelines for Item and test development for each of ICVA’s assessment programs.
Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure the provision of services, such as exam publication, exam security, and psychometrics.
Monitor exam development processes, procedures, and products for quality, recommending improvements as needed.
Contribute to the development of examination-related documents and analytical reports for ICVA leadership.
Manage competing deadlines to maintain an orderly and efficient workflow and work environment.
Coordinate tasks and projects with assessment team members and the Chief Operating Officer (COO), providing guidance and feedback to ensure successful outcomes.
Develop and maintain documentation for assessment development and production procedures.
Stay informed about the latest developments in assessment methodologies and delivery practices
Monitor industry trends, identify potential risks, and recommend corrective actions as needed.
Ability to travel out of the area and overnight may be expected throughout the year.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time regular position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, completing a full 37.5 hour work week (7.5 hours per day). There may be occasional evening and weekend work as job duties or projects require.
Work Environment: This position works remotely, or in a professional office environment. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.
Qualifications, Experiences and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree required.
3+ years of experience in developing, delivering, and maintaining licensure or certification programs.
Credentialing Specialist Certification (ICE-CCP) certification is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of credentialing standards is mandatory.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.

Experience working in a medical society or not-for-profit foundation or association preferred.
Experience launching new certification programs preferred.
